| Description: | | The Vancouver Rowing Club Rugby Section or as the local rugby community calls us "The Rowers", have been one of the major teams in Vancouver since 1908. The Rowers field three mens teamss and various Juniors,Minis and Veterans teams in BC Rugby Union league competitions.
Our homefield; Brockton Oval, is located in the the evergreen oasis of Stanley Park, close to the heart of Vancouver's downtown core. Reputed to be one of the top ten pitches in the world because of its scenery and location, it boasts a spectacular view of the inner harbour and the north-shore mountains.
Our Clubhouse, also located in Stanley Park, is a shared facility between the various sections of the Vancouver Rowing Club organization. Besides housing the magnificent Carver Bar where we meet every Thursday and Saturday evening, the VRC building has a number of top class facilities that are open to all club members. We have access to a fully equipped weight room, another licensed bar upstairs in the scenic Trophy Lounge, a Banquet Hall capable of holding 250 people and an enormous ocean-front deck for year round barbecues.
